EARLY INTERVENTION PROGRAM

Welcome to Northeastern University's Interdisciplinary Early Intervention Certificate Program!

You are joining students and professionals in the fields of psychology (school and counseling), physical therapy, speech/language pathology and audiology, special/education, and nursing. What you all have in common is a desire to make a difference in the lives of infants and toddlers, who have or are at risk for developmental delays or disabilities, and their families. The certificate program can be taken on its own; it also is embedded into graduate and undergraduate degree-bearing programs.

In this program, you will learn to:

• provide services in an interdisciplinary team,
• set intervention goals with a family-centered emphasis, and
• work within children, families, and service providers from culturally and linguistically diverse communities.

You are also entering the exciting world of online education. In addition to face-to-face class meetings, you will use the online environment to complete assignments and communicate with your instructor and other program participants.

This Web site is the program's "home base" and provides resources to help you succeed.

APPLYING TO THE EARLY INTERVENTION PROGRAM

Applications are due April 1st. Applicants are required to submit an online application, 3 letters of recommendation, official transcripts, and an application fee. A second application fee and transcripts are not required if applying to a degree program.
